Albawardi opting to bowl first were rewarded by the priced wicket of Aqeel Azad to Mohammad Shoaib yet again to a peach of a delivery. But, Asghar Altaf at the other end had other ideas and assaulted all the bowlers with some mighty blows scoring one of the fastest fifties in just from 14 balls. He continued his way to 67 from just 19 balls only to be dismissed by a stunning dive catch by Sharafat Ahmed off Muhsin Khan‘s bowling. Tamimi riding high on Asghar’s knock were cruising at 81 in 6 overs. What followed was some inspired, fiery yet intelligent pace bowling from Albawardi’s pace battery especially Mohammad Shoaib, Muhsin Khan, Badar Munir & Raqeeb Hussain to reduce Tamimi to 204/10 in 29 overs. Albawardi going in to chase the target lost the opener Mohammad Shoaib early but Badar Munir and Sayeed Hasan calmed things down. Badar Munir made a well deserved 65 runs for 57 balls thus giving an allround performance. Sayeed Hasan played an attractive innings of 45 from 43 balls. Feroz Khan handled the middle order with a calm and composed 38 runs from 49 balls. Albawardi reached the target of 205 comfortably in 33 overs to win the match by 4 wickets.
